Student Nurse Wins Tejava® Islands of Java and Bali Adventure Sweepstakes

SAN FRANCISCO – Nov 17, 2011 – Tejava Premium Iced Tea, today announced Christine Van Dyke of San Rafael, CA as the winner of its Tejava Islands of Java and Bali Adventure Sweepstakes, a 7-day/6-night adventure to beautiful islands of Java and Bali, including touring Tejava’s historic Java tea plantation to see first-hand where its special tea leaves are grown and harvested. Van Dyke won the trip from nearly 6,000 entries in 15 states.
Additionally, while visiting the island of Java, Van Dyke and her companion will see an island volcano, majestic waterfalls and enjoy the local cuisine and hospitality. Later, they will be whisked away to the exotic beaches of Bali and spend a day visiting a pearl farm, to partake in oyster breeding and pearl harvesting, as well as visit a 17th century temple.
Having caught the travel bug last year after her first trip to Europe, Java and Bali were near the top of Van Dyke’s wish list. And in this tough economy, Van Dyke’s biggest question was how to pay for more international travel. Enter and win the Tejava sweepstakes.
“This is going to be a trip of a lifetime,” said Van Dyke. “I’m a big Tejava fan, it will be fascinating to see the tea plantation and learn how Tejava’s special tea leaves are carefully picked and prepared. I’m so excited to have this opportunity to learn about Java and tea – it really is a dream come true.”
An aspiring nurse, Van Dyke works as a research analyst at UCSF and also has two part time jobs.
